Ariana Grande's hair .
It's red, fun, and TOTALLING c-u-t-e. Instead of being envious of her hair, why don't you dye it ? I know what you're thinking . My hair's too dark , it's not gonna show . Well, that's what I thought too! Until now! Want to dye your raven locks a vibrant red or even a subtle burgundy, without having to dry your hair with that terrible bleach ? Continue reading !
M A T E R I A L S : which can be boughten at your local Sally's Beauty Supply. In total, I only spent about $25 at Sally's because I had everything else.
-L'Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair ONLY in Red
depending on your hair length you will need to get at least 1-4 boxes of the dyes. my hair goes to the middle of my back and i only needed 2 boxes. They're only around $6, so it's not like your spending HUNDREDS getting it done at a salon.
-1O,2O,3O,4O volume creme developer.
i recommend 3O. my hair was dark to begin with and 2O wasn't as strong, wheras 4O was TOO strong and even MORE damaging ~

My hair was black. Pure, dark, virgin hair black. I never thought I could even manage to get a color even be any shade of red, but using L'Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLights in Magenta helped me achieve that burgundy red color(top right). Keep in mind this was the first time I have ever used this dye. It's meant for hilights, which you won't have to worry about, the result will just be a more intense color than usual box dyes. After two monthes of fading to a dark brown, I dyed it over using L'Oreal Excellence HiColor HiLights again, but in RED. I loved the result of this color and gave me the color I've wanted for the longest time.
Steps :
O1) Your hair should at least be "a day old". This will allow your natural oils in your hair to contribute a more natural state of your hair.
O2) Comb through your hair, removing any knots and tangles.
O3) Put vaseline wherever you feel like you might stain your skin.
I put it along my forehead, ears, and neck.
O4) Start mixing the developer, and dye.
You will need 1 part dye and 2 parts developer.
O5)Once it's all mixed, I prefer to do the bottom, so clip up the top part of your hair, and just 'paint' it onto the bottom layer, going all the way to the roots, and distributing the product on thick and even. Pay attention to this part, you NEED to put it on evenly, or your roots might end up being brighter than the rest of your hair.
O6) Unclip the top section, and repeat.
{optional ]
{ (-) Once you're all done, wrap your hair in saran wrap.
(-) Set your hair dryer on the lowest setting and apply some heat onto the dye. ]
O7) After waiting 30-45 minutes, I usually wait 45, run cold water on your hair until the water completely runs clear.
O8) Put conditioner on your hair, paying attention to the ends.
O9) Rinse it out
1O) Wait for your hair to dry and embrace your red hair!
I hope I helped AT ALL, and if you have any questions please PM me. First tip ever, hope you enjoyed it.
